She’s been on both sides of the desk: first as a BigLaw attorney, then as the managing partner of her own litigation firm, where she scaled to 20 people in seven years and learned the hard way that law school doesn’t teach you how to run a business.

That realization sparked a second act. Stephanie became a coach, consultant, and legal industry rebel with a mission: to help firm owners build modern, healthy, client-centered businesses. She launched the Lawyerist Lab program in 2018, led the merger with Affinity Consulting in 2023, and now serves as Affinity’s Chief Growth Officer. Her work blends strategy, leadership development, and smart adoption of AI and tech—not as shiny objects, but as tools to help lawyers reclaim their time and rethink the way they work.

Stephanie is the co-author of the best-selling book The Small Firm Roadmap Revisited and hosts The Lawyerist Podcast, where she talks with experts and law firm owners about the future of law. She’s also a national speaker, and a firm believer that law firms don’t have to be soul-sucking to be successful.
