Reid Trautz is the Senior Director of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Practice & Professionalism Center, where he advises lawyers on enhancing their businesses and ethically innovating the delivery of legal services to their clients.
He currently serves as the chair of the Virginia State Bar Technology and Future of Practicing Law Committee. Reid is a past chair of ABA TECHSHOW and has been a faculty member for over 15 years. In 2012, he was honored in the sophomore class of the Fastcase 50, recognizing innovators in legal technology. Today co-authors the Future Proofing column for Law Practice magazine. Reid is a frequent speaker at legal conferences throughout North America, addressing issues of management, technology, innovation, legal ethics, and attorney-client communications.
Before focusing on the business of practicing law, Reid was a partner in a 5-member family law firm in Alexandria, Virginia. He leads an active family life with his wife and three sons. When not at home in Virginia, they enjoy traveling across the US, discovering local diners, drive-ins, and dives, and riding roller coasters until they can’t anymore.
