Patrick A. Wright, ESQ., is the managing partner of The Wright Firm, LLP, a law firm based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Texas and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. He is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and Board Certified in Child Welfare Law in Texas.

In addition to serving on the ABA TECHSHOW Board, Patrick has also served on the Editorial Board of the ABA Law Practice Division Magazine. He is a member of the ABA Law Practice Division 2023-2024 Lawyer Leadership and Management Committee and the Law Practice Division Futures Initiative 2023-2024 Committee. In the State of Texas, he has been elected to the Family Law Council, which governs the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Patrick serves on the Future of Family Law Committee, is one of the assistant chairs of the publications committee, and will be one of the co-editors of the Family Law Section Report in 2024. He has also been appointed to the 2023-2024 State Bar of Texas Law Practice Management Committee.

Patrick is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the International Academy of Family Lawyers, and the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists. While he is an active trial and appellate lawyer, he also serves as a mediator for high-conflict divorce and child custody cases.

He has been listed as a Super Lawyer since 2008 and has been recognized in U.S. News’ Best Lawyers in America for Family Law and Family Law Mediators. His firm has also been recognized as one of the Best Law Firms in the area of Family Law.

Finally, Patrick teaches continuing legal education for local and state bars, as well as private companies such as NBI. He was named one of their outstanding faculty members for 2022 and teaches topics such as digital assets, technology, and law practice management.
