Alan is the principal of The Law Offices of Alan J. Klevan, P.C., in Framingham, Massachusetts. He concentrates in the fields of workers’ compensation law, automobile tort law and general negligence law. He is also the President of Summit Law Practice Solutions, a legal consulting firm focused on providing efficient and affordable solutions to solo practitioners and small law firms leverage their skills with existing and emerging technologies to maximize efficiency and profitability.
In 2009, the American Bar Association awarded Alan with its “Solo and Small Firm Trainer of the Year” award for his contribution to educating lawyers about the opportunities and benefits of solo and small firm practice. He served as an editor of the American Bar Association’s “GP Solo” magazine from 2012 to 2017, as well as having served on the division’s Technology Committee, Short Term Planning Committee and Long-Term Planning Committee.
Presently, Alan serves as Chair of the Legal Technology Resource Center of the Law Practice Division and sits on the Attorney Well-Being Committee.
Alan lives in either Framingham, Massachusetts or Boynton Beach, Florida with his wife and seven children (depending on the day), his domicile being directly proportional to the amount of children threatening to visit, along with a dog and a tankful of needy saltwater fish. In his spare time, Alan serves as Executive Chef and Chief Groundskeeper of his homes and travels along the east coast hoping to find the ultimate lobster roll.
