Paykin Law
Robert Hawkins is a New York based attorney whose practice spans business law, real estate, and complex commercial litigation, with a particular focus on the practical integration of technology into legal workflows. He regularly advises businesses and property owners on transactional matters while also representing clients in disputes involving landlord–tenant issues, foreclosures, and partnership and commercial conflicts.
Robert earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he focused on business law and participated in legal clinics assisting startups with varied operational and compliance needs. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from Binghamton University, with a minor in Russian Studies. His interdisciplinary background informs his approach to problem-solving, legal systems, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies.
In addition to his legal practice, Robert is actively involved in bar association leadership and professional education. He serves on multiple committees related to legal technology, finance, ethics, and professional development, and sits on the board of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing resources to survivors of domestic violence. He is a frequent CLE presenter on topics including legal technology, AI and bias, e-discovery, IoT devices, and efficiency tools for modern law practice, and has published on attorney productivity and practice management.
