Prompting is a core skill for working effectively with generative AI in legal practice. In this fully interactive workshop, attendees will learn prompt engineering techniques by doing, not just listening. Each participant will access a custom web app built for TECHSHOW that runs a series of real world legal tasks such as drafting clauses, summarizing cases, and generating client communications. We will cover foundational techniques like role assignment and step-by-step prompting, as well as advanced strategies such as chaining prompts and refining outputs based on feedback. By the end of the session, attendees will have a set of reusable prompts tailored for legal work and the skills to adapt them to their own practice.
