Rebecca Fordon

The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law

Rebecca Fordon is a law librarian, legal technologist, and Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she teaches legal research and legal technology with a focus on the practical integration of generative AI in law practice and education. A co-founder of the AI Law Librarians website, she also serves on the Board of Directors of the Free Law Project and frequently writes and speaks about the evolving role of AI in research methodology, AI literacy, and the future of legal information. Her leadership in this area has earned national recognition, including being named a 2024 vLex Fastcase 50 honoree and a 2025 American Legal Technology Awards finalist.

Before entering academia, Rebecca practiced corporate restructuring and bankruptcy law for a decade, including as a partner at Brown Rudnick. She holds a J.D. from Boston University, an M.L.I.S. from UCLA, and a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University.
