TECHSHOW 2026 BOARD
Shawn L. Holahan is the Practice Management and Loss Prevention Counsel for the Louisiana State Bar Association, where she also oversees the fee dispute arbitration program. A recognized leader in legal practice management, Shawn serves as Secretary of the ABA Law Practice Division, Vice Chair of the TECHSHOW Planning Board, Columns Editor for ABA Law Practice Magazine, and is a regular contributor to ABA Law Practice Today. She is also a Fellow-Elect of the College of Law Practice Management, a former Vice Chair of the Professional Development Board, and past Chair of the Practice Management Advisors of North America.
Before joining the bar, Shawn was a partner at a mid-sized New Orleans law firm, focusing on labor and employment law, and completed two federal clerkships in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Today, she helps lawyers navigate law office management, optimize workflows, and make smart technology choices.
Outside of the legal world, music captures Shawn’s soul. She can often be found enjoying spontaneous porch concerts across New Orleans or marching in lively Mardi Gras parades. She also hosts a weekly live radio broadcast for the blind, reading the news on WRBH, 88.3 FM. When she isn’t dancing to the city’s rhythms, she travels the U.S. to visit her adult children and adores spending time with her grandsons, who affectionately call her “MaeMae.”
