John E. Grant, known as the Agile Attorney, is a law practice strategy and operations expert. His mission is to help legal professionals harness the tools of modern entrepreneurship to build practices that are profitable, scalable, and sustainable for themselves and their communities.
A fourth-generation lawyer, John spent nearly a decade in the technology industry before attending law school. This gave him broad experience with product development, project management, and process improvement strategies. After building his own boutique IP practice, he that he has adapted and modified to suit the needs of legal teams.
He served as co-chair of the Oregon State Bar’s Futures Task Force and currently sits on the Bar’s Board of Governors, where he is a passionate advocate for access to justice. In that capacity, he is leading efforts to re-regulate the legal industry to better support innovation, accessibility, and equity & inclusion, both for legal professionals and the communities we serve.
John is a fellow of the International Institute of Legal Project Management and the American Bar Foundation. He has been honored by the Oregon State Bar for his service, is a FastCase 50 selection, and an ABA Web100 honoree.
