As a solo or small firm lawyer transitions from a full time practice many technology tools that have become routine at the office may not be necessary in a lesser role or in retirment. Planning what technology is necessary and at what cost will be vital to setting a budget. We will examine both the necessary technolgy as well as what gives the greatest return on investment. We will examine specific everyday programs such as MS 365, Adobe, ShareFile and so forth to give examples in weighing the plusses and minuses of retaining and / or winding down the use of applications.
