Matthew Yospin

Law Office of Matthew M. Yospin

Matthew works with businesses, entrepreneurs, non-profits, and inventors to protect inventions, brands, and creative works with patents, trademarks, copyrights, and related contracts. Serving clients worldwide, he relies on software and technology to offer legal services efficiently. He has been an early adopter of technology for over 35 years, from fixing his family’s Apple II at age 5, to using software for efficiency, practice management, and analytics. He brings his enthusiasm for hardware and software to his law practice, and enjoys sharing it with other attorneys.

Matthew co-chaired a Solo/Small Firm Section at the Boston Bar Association (2015-17) and at the American IP Law Assoc. (currently), and co-organizes an informal group of attorneys, helping to plan talks and social events. He is also on the BBA’s Lawyer Referral Service Board.

Before practicing law, Matthew founded and ran a computer software consulting business, worked in software-services for a multinational publishing company, and worked as a research scientist. He lives outside of Boston, Mass., where he serves on the Board of Directors of Understanding Our Differences, a nonprofit that creates and licenses educational programs for elementary school students to learn about and build respect for human differences. He enjoys coding, building furniture, gardening, taking his kids biking and to play tennis and ultimate frisbee, and traveling – using his passable Spanish, German, and French when possible.
