Tools to Activate Your Wellness Daily

Lawyers are notorious for their long hours and demanding workload. Clio’s 2018 Legal Trends Report found that 75% of lawyers frequently worked outside of business hours, and 39% of lawyers say that those extended hours have taken a toll on their personal lives. In the wake of the 2016 Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation study, mindfulness has emerged as a practice that lawyers can use to help combat the stressors of the profession that often lead to anxiety, depression and addiction. This session will review the benefits of mindfulness, teach attendees short mindfulness exercises, and explore the ways technology can support the integration of mindfulness and wellness into a busy lawyer’s lifestyle.
