Brett Burney

Brett Burney is Principal of Burney Consultants LLC, and focuses the bulk of his time on bridging the chasm between the legal and technology frontiers of electronic discovery. Brett is also very active in the Mac-using lawyer community, working with lawyers who want to integrate Macs, iPhones & iPads into their practice. Prior to establishing Burney Consultants LLC, Brett spent over 5 years at the law firm of Thompson Hine LLP where he worked with litigation teams in building document databases, counseling on electronic discovery issues, and supporting them at trial. Brett graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2000 and quickly became active in the world of legal technology. Chad E. Burton

Chad E. Burton is the founding attorney of Burton Law, a virtual law firm with lawyers located in Ohio and North Carolina. Chad's practice focuses on business litigation and serving as outside counsel for privately-held businesses. The law firm uses cloud-based technology to provide full and unbundled services in the areas of corporate counseling, litigation, intellectual property, estate planning and data privacy.

Chad is a member of the ABA LPM Section's eLawyering Task Force and Education Board. He serves as Chair of the Dayton Bar Association's Leadership Development Program and is Vice Chair of the DBA's Law & Technology Committee. Chad teaches Law Practice Management at the University of Dayton School of Law.


Jeff Richardson

Jeff Richardson is a partner in the New Orleans office of Adams and Reese LLP, where his practice primarily involves representing defendants in class action and complex litigation, appellate litigation and products liability litigation. Mr. Richardson is also the publisher of iPhone J.D., the oldest and largest website devoted to the use of iPhones and iPads by attorneys. Mr. Richardson graduated from Emory University in 1991, summa cum laude, and Georgetown University Law Center in 1994, magna cum laude.


Reid Trautz

American Immigration Lawyers Association, Washington, DC

Reid Trautz is a lawyer serving as the Director of the American Immigration Lawyers Association's Practice and Professionalism Center, where he provides ethics guidance and management advisory services to lawyers to help improve their businesses and the delivery of legal services to their clients.

Reid is a nationally recognized advisor, author and presenter on practice issues, including launching a law practice, business process improvement, law practice technology, and legal ethics. He is co-author of The Busy Lawyer's Guide to Success: Essential Tips to Power Your Practice, published by the ABA, and is a frequent contributor to legal publications nationwide. He is also publisher of the legal blog, ReidMyBlog.

Reid is a long-time member of the ABA Law Practice Division, serving as chair of ABA TECHSHOW 2012, and an elected Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management. He is admitted to the bars of Minnesota (inactive), Virginia, District of Columbia, and U.S. Supreme Court.

Reid leads an active family life with his wife, Mimi, and their three sons. When not at home in Virginia, they like to travel the U.S., discover local diners, drive-ins and dives, and ride roller coasters until they can't anymore.
