A Day in the Life of Two Tech-Savvy Litigators

Faculty  and the audience are given descriptions of two hypothetical attorneys with massive tech problems. Faculty are then challenged to solve the litigation-tech related problems and avoid  the ethical issues that these hypothetical attorneys face in a given day.

William H. Latham

Bill Latham is Partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. He is a tech savvy trial lawyer with over 21 years of experience representing clients in complex business, advertising, technology and consumer class action litigation throughout the country. Bill is also active with his firm's data security and data breach litigation practice and has earned the designation of Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Bill's blog hytechlawyer.com has covered lawyer technology issues since 2010. An admitted gadget geek, Bill is always on the lookout for new technology to incorporate into his law practice and thoroughly enjoys sharing technology tips with other lawyers.


Marc W. Matheny

Marc W. Matheny is an attorney in practice for over 30 years in general civil litigation, family law and probate law in Indianapolis, Indiana. Marc is a registered mediator and arbitrator, and is a certified parenting coordinator and guardian ad litem.

He is a past chair of the Indiana GP/Small Firm Section, co-founder and current Chair of the I.S.B.A. Solo / Small Firm Conference. He has served the ABA on the Planning Board for the ABA's Solo Small Firm Conference, and is a member of the ABA TECHSHOW Board.

Mr. Matheny received his J.D. from Indiana University, and received his B.A. from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.
