Mark I. Unger is a divorce lawyer and mediator in San Antonio, Texas. He has been practicing family law almost exclusively since 1996, having been listed as one of the ‘Best Lawyers in San Antonio’ (peer review; SA Scene Magazine) regularly since 2007. He has been highly involved with technology and the integration of technology and law since approximately 1998, having filed the first state appellate e-brief in Texas in 1998 and the first e-filing in Bexar County District Courts in 2003. He has spoken, written and participated in numerous technology law and family law seminars. He has been on the board of the State Bar of Texas Computer & Technology Council since 2001 (Chair: 2007-08) and has chaired the San Antonio Bar Association's Technology committee since 1999. He sits on the current Family Law Section Board (San Antonio; President, 2012-13), the Judicial Committee on Information Technology, Computer Council of the State Bar of Texas, and the Web Services Committee of the State Bar of Texas. Mark focuses his practice in Family Law and Technology, including but not limited to divorce, property division, maintenance custody, enforcement, modification, visitation, relocation, grandparent rights, multi-state jurisdictional litigation in family law, paternity fraud, and all other areas of family law. Paul J. Unger is a national speaker and frequent lecturer for CLE programs. He is an attorney and founding member of Affinity Consulting Group. Prior to forming Affinity, he was Vice President of a Columbus-based technology consulting firm. Mr. Unger spent five years in Columbus, Ohio limiting his practice to civil litigation. He now specializes in trial presentation & litigation technology consulting, document and case management software, paperless office strategies, and legal-specific software training for law firms and legal departments throughout the United States. Mr. Unger has provided trial presentation consultation for 300+ cases.
He is very active in the Law Practice Management Section of the American Bar Association, and is currently serving as Chair of the ABA's Legal Technology Resource Center. He served as the 2011 Chair of ABA TECHSHOW. Mr. Unger is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio and Columbus Bar Associations, and the Ohio Association for Justice and the Central Ohio Association for Justice.
