We here at ABA TECHSHOW dig legal ethics: everything from how technology is changing and challenging the existing legal ethics rules to figuring out how to get ethics credit for certain TECHSHOW sessions. So we were stoked to hear a recent episode of the Digital Edge podcast in which Sharon Nelson and Jim Calloway interviewed Erin Gerstenzang one of the forces behind the fascinating Data Driven Ethics initiative. This project is bringing an iterative approach to rethinking ethics rules with two important hypotheses: (1) data on legal ethics rules exists and can be gathered, and (2) using that data will be helpful in rethinking the ethics rules. Erin spoke (three times!) at last year’s ABA TECHSHOW and with initiatives like Data Driven Ethics we can’t wait to get her back.
